Same here, might be worth checking the support site to see if already reported.

Edit : I opened a ticket there.

Hi, best would be to ask the ones working on the game, to be sure :

-> Click "Request help" on the official SE2 Support Portal to have a SE programmer helping you.

In my opinion :

-> Probably the same as their other games, so what they added on their Official SE Troubleshooting Website :

" ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE
It has been reported by players that some anti-virus software (most common is AVAST) are blocking the game and prevent it from starting. This happens because the game’s code is encrypted which is why the anti-virus software are flagging it as a virus. This is false positive and the solution is to add the file to exceptions or mark it as a save file. "

I will add :

IMO
-> Best to rely on the ones working on the game than rely on players from Public Forums, well for this kind of problem (virus).

svgo-win.exe is a program that streamlines the handling of .svg files, which are vectored images often used as texture maps in games that require high levels of detail. I guarantee that this is a false positive, this is a well documented application.

Also, why are you using a third party antivirus program in 2025? Windows Defender is more than sufficient these days.

I use Windows 11 with Defender that comes with it but got a high risk exe and Browser extension it did not found, I had to do a scan with Malwarebytes to find and remove.

I was not able to load the Official SE website recently and the Malwarebytes scan fixed the problem that was not detected by Windows Defender.

Malwarebytes is probably the one exception, but even then I'd only use it for its scans, I wouldn't keep it running constantly in the background.

It is what I do, I only use the free scanner of Malwarebytes, I did not setup to be the main antivirus.

Edit
The free scanner of Malwarebytes is recommended by IT teachers.

I dont believe the two are related tbh. CompatTelRunner.exe google searches bring back telemetry for microsoft. IE. them seeing how you use windows.

its weird that it targeted space engineers 2 but i imagine that the program tried to report you bought a new game to microsoft for whatever reason and made the two look sus as hell

Wont lie to you id react teh same way but google searching exe files and adding what is it or something the like can really help find answers to things like this incase it was something more serious. Would you really want to login to steam forums [or anything] if you thought your pc had a trojan on it for real?

Just dropping by to say we appreciate you Dan
false positive due to the fact that ALL games log key strokes in order to even function. This is not a virus and you should ignore this nothing to see here.
Fallenq Feb 16 @ 10:47am
Well, kaspersky isn't known for deleting files just because of encryption so that means that probably something is wrong with the game (not saying it's malicious) but something is causing avs to detect it

But we might love you, Dan, even more if you finished Moon Base Scenario 2.

There's a difference between reading input and logging it - logging it requires input data to be recorded and stored. That being said, 1. there's not really a way for an antivirus program to tell the difference between simply reading input data and storing it to a remote location and 2. some games log input data for legitimate reasons, such as recording in-game replays.

But my Computer i was using has Dev software on it and it start to lose file folders. do to the virus and it was using windows defender part of windows 11 and ya had to reinstall
i know there's a lot of game that virus programs will block but this was not the case thanks for taking the time to upload the borg blueprint taking a high risk on your end.
for now i deleted the game on other computers

I have Steam friends all over the world and they did not reported any virus problems so it looks like it happens only for specific players, well I only noticed 3 players having virus detection so far on this Forum.

Don't use defender, or avast. Use bitdefender or kaspersky.
After reading more of your messages i realised you aren't doing research, are you saying that se2 is actually causing pc damage and a loss of files?
