KEEN, please use steam workshop
Part of what makes SE1 great is how easy it is to share creations with others. When im not playing, im browsing the workshop for ideas or stuff to play around with.

The choice to not use steam workshop is a big mistake and will frustrate and drive away players and creators.

Pandering to console players does not make sense. You are neglecting a large portion of the player base for a tiny fraction. If console players want to enjoy mods and other people's creations, then they can by a PC.

Keen, please reconsider.

I have been unimpressed for decades that so many Devs voluntarily restrict themselves or resources so that a game will work on a console.
Very frustrating to say the least.

Cant imagine it will be a good experience on console either considering reccomended specs is a 1200$ GPU, consoles just wont be good enough.

I just took a look out of curiosity.
The suggested video card although a NEWER generation is running for $279

are we looking at the same thing?
https://2.spaceengineersgame.com/space-engineers-2-hardware-specs/

Here it reccomends a 2080 TI or a 3080.
I cant find pricing for a 2080 TI, but the cheapest 3080 i could find had its lowest dip at $779.20 (In Norway)

Even the Radeon RX 6800 was lowest dip $453.34

So what card is the $279 card your talking about

3060 is not within the reccomended specs by a longshot xD

ok..then $500 for recommended specs.
I think you might be wrong though, the 2080 Ti appears to be a past generation card which means they will be considerably more expensive than current generation even though the newer generation is better.

although passmark is confirming your price point

Both the 2080 TI and 3080 are older gen cards, but the 3080 still beats the 4070, so for the next generation coming this year, you might getaway with a 5070, but you might have to shelf out for a 5080 for the reccomended specs for this game, which will be so much above what a console will ever deliver

which is odd for sure. They must know something about consoles in the near future that we do not know.
as well as perhaps information regarding up and coming GPU cards.

I doubt it, if every game dev got to know secret details of upcoming hardware for the console/pc market, it would be leaked everywhere.

no matter. the cost for the reccoemded specs for SE2 is a new GPU at a minumum price of $500, so prepare your wallets lol.

yeah good point.
well at least for me I cant either way.
I have a 1 year old high end gaming laptop only and I am not going to change that for one game.

Unfortunately, both advertisement vids on steam as great as they are, are what the two devs have already shown and is all they ever show. nothing new!

I loved SpaceEngineers and have high hopes for this game and the Devs but My expectations are too high - and all I've seen thus far are creative mode experiences.
I want to see the grind that we are all familiar with and then some...

Dynamic weather - We all know there are going to be planets.
But will there be:
civilisations and AI - plop drop a few factions in our survival scenarios and precious ores ranging from good to great on worlds. Maybe I'll plop 500 individuals of each faction on 3 scattered worlds with a world full of the best richest of ores on a nearby abandoned world to be discovered one day!
As populations naturally begin to grown between all factions - adventures begin to explore - on finding that one world, word gets out or, others arrive late to find a precious world pre occupied and actions stem from there. (procedural story modes customed made by players).

I want to be able to build a shed, a normal house atop of what we are accustomed.
I want to be able to start a family, domesticate and cultivate animals to make a living to help my city and civilisation.
I want to be able to eat food in engineers and sell foods, buy cloths and sell cloths and customise my character to his last breathe.

I would love to see a better skybox, a better main star and sequence star as well as more diverse star systems.

Will this game be as big as Elite dangerous or are we still engineering in the exact same fashion we'd done before in Engineers 1?

I would like to see multitudes of modules from Engineers 1 and over a hundred more in the new expansion. (much more blocks for diversity and ease). What money can't afford.

I would love to see a real economy - resources that mean the world to me, also means a lot to other colony types and alien races.

SPEED!
I would like to be able to move at whatever speed I like and cap my own speed if I felt too much speed was too great for me to handle. I don't want to have to rely on mods....

It seems to me like Engineers has finally got the Update we have all been asking for - this update being called Space Engineers 2 - and the goal is to rely on mod makers to make the game thrive, yet again.

Elite dangerous Is still Elite dangerous - and Star Citizen has had patches after patches to ensure the perfect game for players - NO MODDERS INCLUDED - but Keen seem to depend on Modders which I think is a cop out.

Unreal Engine 5 opens up room for so much expansion with ease of functionality and enables import and export of games from other engines. gaining the power of Nanite technology would/ and could be revolutionary for a game like Space Engineers. Thus freeing up so much time from Devs allowing them to focus on other crucial aspects I'm sure they have in the pipe line of can do

Vrage3 needs time to grow before committing I personally believe.

I did not BUY a 4090 latest RAM DRIVES such as OPTAIN Motherboard or CPU's to play high end Lego wars. (NO OFFENCE)
Will we experience seasonal exchanges, and immersion with physics and AI interactions.

Maybe make a mod that could interact with mod.io that allows you to access mod.io items to steam workshop through the mod.
