Also struggling with the new controls, especially as the UI doesn't even mention things like rotation. I was going to log feedback in their portal, but that also doesn't seem to work properly (I can't log in)

Yeah, not a fan of the current way of cycling between blocks and rotation.
Can you please add controls that we can define such as movement, block placement, etc.? Having to re-learn your default controls is not worth the effort to play in creative mode.

Its really strange that even if this is an early alpha version, why could they not include button remapping, is it really that hard to do?
Rotation is good, however the scrolling between blocks is no longer under mouse scroll, and also both size switch AND switching blocks is between one button R is kinda crazy when you try to build anything detailed. literally we could just keep old 1-0 hotbar, scroll between blocks within group, and have dedicated button for size like R

the old controls were better,

Cant't change my keybinds? Not good. Please devs sort your priorities right!

I didn't think the new block rotation was too bad, it's still better than Empyrion. I used to use HOME, END, PGUP, PGDN, INS, and DEL to rotate blocks, while I got comfortable with it, I think this will be better once I have familiarized myself with it.
I kinda like the new keybindings my self take some getting used to but prefer not reaching cross my keyboard just to rotate a block but that's just me possible though I do want mouse wheel selection thing back as that is a lot more preferable then R key

I feel we should have the option to switch back to the old system AND also being able to change the way we rotate through the different blocks.

I like the new block rotation but i dont like how getting to a different variation is. pressing R and having to go through all of them are annoying

Took me about five mins trying to figure out how to rotate a block. Compared to SE1, the process of buildings seems far less intuitive. And now I see I can't change the keybinds. Game looks lovely so far, but the controls - clunky, convoluted, and infuriating.

The block rotation thing is a 1000x better, something I always thought they should have done after playing from the depths. who the ♥♥♥♥ wants to use page up and ♥♥♥♥ to rotate a block?! having to take one hand of your mouse or wasd, it makes absolutely no sense and this is a gazillion times better!

the R thing is a bit weird but I guess it just takes some getting used to, kind of weird how changing size and scrolling through the different variants is both on R though. I think just having a big block and a small block on your toolbar and just switching between the variants would be better (like they do with the smallest detail block)

Block placement. "1 main block+" cant change to slope or other variants, use to be middle wheel, I don't understand how to rotate through variants. Like before.

you press R which also scrolls through the 2 different sizes but not the smallest one that's a seperate block, something which they also should have done with the other two imo

Check your F1-F12 keys. Your function keys, just like in the first game, open up menu's and cameras. Including a full breakdown of the control scheme.
