Is there anything i can do too allow the application to run?
i'm confused about minimum specs?
i know an RX 5600 XT is faster but i thought id still have the power to run it on low spec with my 580.. anyway to bypass?

I have: Radeon RX 580 Series
Dedicated Video RAM
i have = 8.0 GB
Required = 6144 MB

Shader Model Version
i have 6.0

Do you mean you have 8GB ram or vram
If it's ram you will need more then 8GB. The game will take 6.2GB and you computer needs up to 4GB to run = over 10GB needed overall.

Your card do not support mesh shader. GF 1660 is the first lowest spec card that support that and the same goes for the RX 5600 XT.

If i am right about this you need to upgrade the GPU or refund the game.

Hi, the Devs recommend to update the Graphic driver if older than 2024.
+
Here are the first things you can try when you have a game problem :
1 - Restart the PC.
2 - Verify game files.
How to Verify integrity of game cache:
- Right click on Space Engineers2 in your Steam Library.
- Go to properties.
- Go to LOCAL FILES tab.
- Click Verify integrity of game cache
- When done try the game.

________

That said, my GTX is very old and the game runs very well on Default Medium, I can share my setup to compare :

Steam and game installed on the C: Drive (because I have only one 1T SSD)
+
I play on Default Medium Graphic settings 70 FOV

- Motherboard ASUS Prime B660M-A D4
- 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400 2.50 GHz 6 cores
- 16 GB RAM (2X8)
- 1T SSD
- Windows 11
- GTX Strix 1050 Ti Driver Date: 2024 03 12 (not up to date)
- One Monitor 1680 X 1050 60Hz

EDIT
Minimum on Store page :
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 (latest SP) 64-bit
Processor: Intel i3 @ 3.0 GHz or higher (or AMD equivalent)
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 1660 Super / Radeon RX 5600 XT / Intel B580 or higher
DirectX: Version 12

I got SE2 running on an Radeon 880M iGPU

Granted, performance is very suboptimal but it still works
Dyna Jan 28 @ 12:51pm
If you can boot it on a 1050TI then it is odd that it is not minimum requirement to run the game.

Especially when there is the 1080TI on so many systems with more performance than a 1660.

i know what the Minimum spec suggests, i just never listen (my wifes tells me this regularly) but thoes minimum specs will be for smooth consistent running older stuff will run it it though, hell my potato manages to run cyber punk but poorly lol

I must say, I usually "burn" my GPU every 5 years so I upgrade every 5 years and it's the first time my GPU last longer than 5 years so I've added it in my new PC (SSD Motherboard).

I wanted to wait to "Burn" that GTX before changing but high and extreme graphic setting is not working with it so I will change soon.

It was not really worth upgrading with the huge pile of bad games that came out the last 2 years anyway since the ones i found good never needed a good gaming rig anyway.

Guess the problem will be the driver as mentioned or it is booting with the IGPU.
