Reaction to "Bring Captain Jack back into CTG"
I have to say imo, the handling of this has been poor. As someone who genuinely enjoys SE1 and 2, it's disappointing to hear and see the lack of an explanation/response to Captain Jack. We, as both players and viewers have a right in knowing. I thought you were working on transparency Keen? This is a step backwards. And locking threads on the subject does not help that look. I know that I have lost some trust in Keen now, which is a shame. Please, PLEASE, give us an explanation ASAP. I am asking this as a player of SE1, and SE2, and as someone who cares.

"There's nothing special on the video",
What Captain Jack experience was a normal "vermin situation" in every offices...

I'm happy for him, to able to walk away. And refuse to discard his personal good values, in an attempt to "fit-in" a toxic crowed and feed there Egos.

Doesn't mean that there's one group of idiots that it already constitute the whole KHS company working atmosphere, or its final products they release.

As for Transparency, Its a Private* Company... of course every door leading to the "un-cooked burger room" is off-limits to public... the same goes to all information that hasn't materialize...

And before this gets locked (hopefully not), I want to say for the record that this is my opinion, and is within the guidelines of Steam.

Technically we have no rights to know why anything happened, though odds are Jack would tell us once he gets an answer, if he ever does.
From what I understand, there's been a personal spat between the two for a long time now. Things evolved, stuff went public, and now people are camping. Yet another subject for me to roll my eyes at and go back to bed over

The locked thread was literally "I demand this, or I will make artifical downvotes"
Thats not a lockdown on information, that thread was Incredibly bloody stupid

What exactly gives you the "right" to know someone else's business?
Jeezz Talk about entitled.
Just so you Know, because your entitled to know everything apparently...
My cat had fish for dinner then went outside and did a $hit that was
4.1 grams in weight, dark brown in colour and buried 1 cm deep in soft
sandy soil.

Where does the OP think they have a RIGHT in anything? You all buy a GAME not STOCK in Keen Software House. The only RIGHT you have is to the product you bought. If you want to be butt hurt over decisions made by the company that you have a RIGHT to. Demanding or expecting anything more is NOT your RIGHT. It could be a PRIVILEGE given to you by the company nothing more.
No I do not own this game YET. Unlike the negative reviews I read the roadmap and plan to buy the game when it gets to a point I feel I will enjoy it. I have no interest to review bomb a game out of ignorance because I fail to read. In my opinion those reviews are just ignorant people that looked at pictures and decided on something. They are the Key reason I have believed that Steam Early Access would be better off with a Whitelist or at the very least a Blacklist so that ignorant people are no longer permitted to buy games then post ignorant reviews damaging the development of the game. Though in the case of SE2 the ignorance is not going to impact the game much.

You do know that indoor/outdoor cats have a shorter life expectancy? Though if you know all those details he is a very lucky Feline.
IF the OP is American, may I apologize for the Arrogance and Entitled behavior. Sadly the new generation is being poison with such belief. We hope in coming years to put out that ignorant candle.

First things first, we are not talking about someone's life, we are talking about a company matter.
Second of all, we are talking about a big youtuber that one day was part of KSH's team and some days later was not, no explainaion or anything. After 2/3 months (if I remember correctly) It tuned out he left (that's usually a bad sign, if you ever left a company yourself you'll understand why) because he got harassed by some developers for no apparent reason. After that he got kicked out of KSH's testing group with an ai generated email that may have contained legal threats send by a very known individual that took his place.

I don't think I have to make it any more clear why this situation is bad. Expecially for *him*, again.

Edit: I am not expecting mutch of anything from keen, but I am expacting an explaination from *him*, about the AI generated emails and the supposed threats sent about the NDA.

Hot take but... It seems like more of a personal reaction to an executive decision.

Us knowing about it does nothing. We can't do anything but pressure a team into changing a decision that they'll have made for whatever reason we don't know anyway.

All the best to a guy but, yeah it's pretty much not something for us to bother with in this case. It'd be nice to know why but uh, that's more curiosity than necessity

I don't know if I should be entertained or troubled by the though of you going out after your cat with a bunch of scientific equipment to obtain that information XD

why are you expecting anything at all? If you're not involved, and have no reason to be involved, then don't get yourself involved. There's far better hobbies to take up then inserting yourself into other peoples business

We all have been made aware of a situation. As such, we would like an answer.
If a politician in my country gets arrested for something he did in his private time, I'd like to know. Same goes here, *he* is our community manager now (aka the guy that should talk to users/youtubers and get feedback from them), so I'd like to know what he did to have a youtuber the size of Jack call him out, are the allegations true? Does he understand the mistake? We are not talking about a private situation, it's in the public domain now, this is kinda big considering Keen's track record.
If it's on the public domain, it means that Jack has at least asked more than once without a response, causing him to make the situation public so Keen could at least give him a reply.

What makes me angry (to not use other words) is that this is his second time f-ing up.
First the workshop some years ago, now this. Why is he the community manager with this track record? He already did not start with a good hand in the first place (I still remember the people being angry in the comment section of the announcement, it’s what made me leave his channel in the first place after looking into it).

I honestly don't get this "it's between them, we don't have to know anything" logic, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. To me it's like hearing people saying "news outlets should not talk about this crime because it doesn't involve them".

I have not nearly had enough coffee to respond to you kindly, and I suspect nothing I say would make a difference in you thinking differantly about your position. Post like yours are why I strongly dislike people
