Did Pip get fixed?

Anyone know if Pip was fixed for this version? I tried looking online, I'm getting mixed answers from people.

Yes and no.
They fixed his grid slots not saving, but not his stat growths. He stays at base stat growth rates the whole game.

Yes, his rates are supposed to get higher with his evolutions. He’s supposed to be either the best mage, best physical attacker, or a versatile in between depending on the evolution path.

But the low stats make him too weak at endgame.

Damn I dont know what to do. I stoppped playing until I understand this issue better. I want to use Pip but I think I should wait to see if the bug gets fixed however it can take a long long time.
