It's faking the original hardware in software 20 years later.
you can have a bleeding edge computer. and get momentary jitter and skips on any game.. it's not always the game's fault.. in fact it usually isn't.. it's possibly something in your computer. some program causing the issues
edit: in fact it could be caused by your computer parking unused cpu cores.
well I am complaining because otherwise Square would have thought they had done everything they could have
they didn't need to do anything. there wasn't a problem other than entitled idiots who always complain. no matter what
"the game doesn't do what I THINK IT SHOULD!!! there's a problem.... FIX IT!!!!"
What this means is that they would have to review the game for any parts where increased FPS breaks the game and update it. (Which you know, would be the right idea, I'm just not holding my breath.)
Stop putting people in prison over roms that use emulators, then make "legal emulators" that are half assed coded... FFIX wasn't an emulation and we see how great that turned out.. It was so great there's an animated series in production supposedly and a remake game. Because of the great quality remaster job of FFIX. Chrono Cross got thrown under the bus and ran over and left to die compared to the job Silicon studios did with FFIX remaster.
60 fps in battle but 30 fps outside battle isn't really fixing the problem, it's only half fixed.
why do you need 60fps at all? iit's not a fighting game.. you don't need pixel perfect dodges or reactions. the battle system doesn't even have a system like the mario rpg's.. or shadow hearts which have battle systems in the turn based rpg genre that involves needing good stable framerates
the game literally doesn't need it.. so why do you?
Man it's crazy how some people will blindly defend lazy ports and subpar post-release support.
again why do you NEED it.... you WANT it.. but you don't NEED it.
Who said anything about "need?"
If you're going down that road you don't "need" a pc version at all, you can just play the original. This is supposed to be a remaster though, which comes with expectations for modern standards.
if that were true than ff1-6 havn't been remastered either
what you want is a remake.. a remaster is the same. just with upgraded visuals.. and it could easily be just 5 pixels in serge's bandana changed
Framerate is literally part of the visuals, not sure what you're talking about.
