This section of the game always bugged me. It's such a simple environmental theme mishandled. The dwarves are so laughably antagonistic yet it's supposed to be the humans' fault for this.
A lot of people, like myself, like being rewarded for failures occasionally. Especially when you can do multiple runs and find new things.
Not familiar with how it's determined on the route where you don't get Razzly.
I think her living or dying might actually depend on how long it takes you to get to her once you find the dwarfs on the island, but I have no idea what that time limit might be.
Doing this will keep Rosetta alive.
If you rescue Razzly but don’t do this, Rosetta will die. However, you actually have to do it this way if you want Razzly’s Lv 7 tech.
If you don’t save Razzly at all, or choose don’t help Kid (New Game only), Rosetta will live.
I say New Game only for the Kid choice, because technically you can save Razzly and still do the don’t save Kid route in New Game+. Since you keep the Green Bell, you can complete the marsh before Viper Manor.
And it also doesn't matter if you bring her to fight the dwarves. You get more dialogue if you do, but you get her Lv7 tech regardless.
I'm guessing because of the success from Chrono Trigger with the TWELVE endings it had, SE were assuming they would get the same success here, and people would want to try different playthroughs.
Pretty sure this was debunked. Just like when fighting Harle, her using Moon Beams locked you out of getting the Moon Glasses to drop, which turned out to be false.
I literally just finished the Water Dragon Isle, and I fought every battle, and got every item, and she was still alive.
