From crashes to the game not opening to really big FPS drops. But it seems the issues are related to specific GPUs and drivers as many people with old devices claim to run the game fine. Others managed to fix with VSync or Low Latency options in their GPU options. (Personally I tried tweaking my GPU config for a while but I still get 10 FPS during battle).
Let people voice their issues and complains. We all wanted this game to succeed.
Ive seen ppl saying thay had fps issues, others were slow mouse movement etc... Any game would have problems here and there.
But ppl voicing their complaints arent the problem imo its the hate that some ppl shows. I think that before going up and arms, they should at least let SE a couple days/week to fix it.. I mean the game released today.
Also, its hard to release a pc game with no bugs or issues, because like I said, everyone has a different rig so it make it so some ppl can play the game perfectly fine while others not so much.
As for the issue with not launching, the ONLY people I see having that issue are people who were to foolish to update from Windows Seven, which is obviously no longer a supported OS. So that's on them.
But yeah to be more clear. This is aimed at the people who wanted unrealistic things from such an old game, and then down on it because it didn't meet them, they called the game trash, and tell people not to buy it. Especially since it's just a twenty dollar TWO title sell.
I could understand some of the rage if it were higher priced than this, for what we got. But this honestly feels like the old title just smoothed over graphically for me, and for the price I am VERY happy.
^ And this ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why we get ports like Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition. A well deserved mediocre standard port to an audience with mediocre standards.
you on windows 7?
well just griping about issues does nothing.. if you have a problem. post your system specs including operating system. this would help people diagnose and possibly point out the issue. and maybe send those with issues forward to places they can let squeenix know the issues and they can be fixed
i have
win10 21H1
ryzen 3 3100
16gb 3000mhz ddr4
geforce 1660 super
i have 0 issues with the game running and no frame rate issues
i DO have an audio issue that i'm attributing to something wonky happening with my razer headset interacting with the game diagosed by switching to 3.5mm jack and switching to the realtech audio source and it went away. listening through my DAC it's there. it's ignoring my having turned off surround stereo in my razer settings
-The UI is fine if not better
-The 2D character portraits are better
-The soundtrack is perfect AF as expected, 17/10
-I literally can't tell if they improved the backgrounds or not
-They didn't even TRY to upscale the CG movies and they look absolutely horrible - like almost as bad as the CG movies in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 PC release where Tecmo/TN literally didn't make any attempt at all to upscale the videos.
The one real issue I've seen is extreme screen tearing whether Gsync and Vsync are enabled or not.
That said, every single one of these things was expected from Square Enix.
Also why am I not experiencing any of the fps/screen tearing issues others are being plagued with? Maybe I'm being paid back for all my suffering/performance issues with the port of Eldenring.
