Are the changes significant enough from the ISA fix though? Using that currently and I'm wondering if it is worth doing a complete fresh re-install when it's already more or less running smooth now.
Yes, pretty significant compared with the old one, you dont need to reinstall the whole game, just delete CHRONOCROSS.exe and do a file verify with steam.
Steam is open, and I can launch the game without SK.
Any advice?
SKIF %COMMAND%
If not, try to add it in the SK manage options instead.
Another solution is deleting SpecialK.ini and let the program make a new one.
Anything else?
EDIT: Oh nevermind, running it directly from Special K after doing all the hex editing and stuff worked, just made a another shortcut and this one works now.
Awesome, yeah thanks for putting that video up, could see it running better than the ISA mod after watching that and decided to give this a go =)
Looks nice. But its kind of funny that the screen flashes black in battle mode with the FPS modding in this remaster. Because that exact same thing happens on emulator as well if you overclock the PS1 core too much in the emulator's options lol
I've just gotten into some battles since applying the above steps. MOST battles seem to be fine, but I've hit the ghost ship boss fight and i'm getting that flickering a lot. Do we know if there is something else we can tweak/fix that can resolve this?
That's due this remaster is an emulation from the original PSX japanese version and we discovered the overclocking internal CPU values, you can even import saves from PSX version lol.
You can touch the values in game using SK, for example, in the guide i recommended put 0/0/7 values since they seems to be the best but it can depends of your specs as well, you can try values like 0/0/8, 0/7/8, etc and see how it looks.
