Kingdom Under Fire 2

Kingdom Under Fire 2

Q: Is KuF 2 developed by the original Phantagram/Blueside devs?
Is this another story like Blizzard North, original Diablo 1 & 2 devs leaving the company and having the label bought up by Warcraft hippies who made Diablo 3, and sold millions because everyone believed it was a real Diablo game?

Is this like when the original creator of Castlevania went into obscurity after his creation was bought by some other guys in 1997?

Why is KuF 2 a pixie fairy errand running game like Black Desert when the originals were metal af, dark, gritty and epic RTS battles?

What's the deal here?

yes and no.
YES it is Blueside doing the development
NO its not Phantagram publishing it.
Blueside is doing the best it can, but GameForge is as typical as you can get with modern game publishers. whoring themselves out to make a cheap buck at the cost of the game and the players.
the good news is, KUF2 is written by the same group, goodish news is its (mostly) the same devs. the bad news is, the devs have no control over what they can/cant do (an all to common problem) cuz gameforge wanted an MMO with pay-to-win mechanics so they could make a quick cash grab.
best news of all of this? Blueside gets the last laugh.
Blueside now has the money to PERSONALLY push out a remake of Crusaders in literally 4 days time. and if it does well, they will almost certainly do the same for the other games. and of they do well? lets look forward to a BLUSIDE KUF3

Yea, Crusaders still holds a special place with me, up there with Quake 1 and Diablo 1. Thanks for the insight into what happened.

Loved heroes personally. This doesn't feel anything like it.

Yea, if Heroes also comes to PC after Crusaders, if it doesn't have built in multiplayer we need to get a mod going, perhaps steam workshop, someone will get it working.

I just saw crusaders was coming. Never played it but combat looks very similar to heroes, very excited!

I played Crusaders after Heroes, back in the day.

Both games have things that are unique to them, not just the character roster,

We really need both because Heroes is kind of like the expansion pack. I found myself switching from one disc to the other, usually when I got stuck :)
