How to translate Monaco into other languages
Translations Monaco into other languages is very relevant. Spanish people, Russian, French, Chinese, etc asked about it. Monaco was even added to the language translation system (http://translation.steampowered.com/?pwg). Unfortunately, translations were not finished.

I bought Monaco to play with my friends and was very disappointed lack of Russian language.
The solution was obvious: I have to do it myself.
Contact the developers failed. Therefore, an educated bet I began to turn the game files.

Now I know how to translate the game. This requires:
- Notepad++ - rewrite texts (All.lang).
- Photoshop (or other bitmap editors) - change fonts (folder "Images").
The basic principle can be understood by looking at the screenshot.

The only problem with this method of translation - it is the correct number of Russian characters in the number of English language in the file All.lang.
If the developers will give me advice on this problem I’ll be glad.

Actual translation of texts I could get from the site http://translation.steampowered.com/?pwg, by contacting their support.

Would you care to do an English summary? This looks interesting, but the existing Monaco community is primarily English language. Some of us might have advice for your mod project. The developers are also pretty active (though not as much with Monaco currently) and might want to throw you some support, if they have a better idea what your ambitions are.

I think it is best that playing games on player's native language.
Because someone(and I) isn't good at English.Plus Playing game on native language is most smoothly.Even if they can almost understand English.

I find this post.

Yes, we are part of Steams Translation Server meaning that Steam will allow the community to translate into many different languagse. We have been talking to different translators and have already received requests by fans who want to translate the game into Russian, Dutch, and Spanish and many more.

Hey folks- Sorry for the lack of response on this! For a while we were supporting the steam translation system by using a tool to convert those files into something readable by Monaco. We found that the process was laborious and buggy (our fault, not valve's), and given that we aren't currently working on Monaco, I don't think this is going to happen. So far as I know, Monaco's fonts don't support Cyrillic characters, and our translation system is borked. We're gonna fix this in our next game... :(
