I'm planning on testing that on my next run, since I'm planning a MC that will immediatly be having a crush on Cove, but I can't tell how long it'll take me before I can confirm.
I think you'll get more differences out of starting with events that net some big change or event, like the aforementioned "Charity" event.
Also the timing of when you reveal to Covethe "deal" his dad tries to make with you might impact their relationship ? I only tried to reveal it in step 2 and 3 so far, and plan to try doing it straight up in step 1 next if that's an option (I don't remember seeing it but I might just be dumb).
Basically, try to remember which events leads to something major and prioritize them, I'd say.
As for smaller events, it'll probably lead to smaller mentions, like just a line and then back on track with no more reference to it.
Good advice! Thanks! :)
Just finished Step 1 on my second play of the game. I'm already seeing some differences from my first game and the second. This second game I am actually trying to "play myself" when I was 8.
During the setup for Stage 2 I made a major change, one, if this was a just world, I'd have been able to do that age. Waiting to see how this works out.
I wish i did think of writing a list for my first run just to find out the changes, but oh no, how horrible it's going to be to have to play even more of this amazing game.
Jokes aside, in my next game I do plan on playing "Runaway" and then "Library" to see if Cliff has anything else to say about Cove leaving the group. On my to do list for my Indifferent game is to see if my parents have something different to say in Step 2 if i don't follow Cove in "Runaway". If you do, they mention that if Cove asked me to do anything, that I wouldn't hesitate to follow.
I suppose it would also come down it what you pick before the step starts, I have notice being Direct and Crush, my MC has been really straightforward in his intentions toward Cove (less choice to do things, instead just does it), whereas with my Nervous Crush MC still had more options for me to choose to show her intentions. Which I'm kind of digging, cause it suits the play style of each MC I've made.
I wouldn't know what does changes for sure, because of that, but I assume doing the moments where the MC meets new characters (or in which you, as the player, meet them for the first time) impacts things? Like the Birthday one in Step 2, for example? Maybe the characters the MC met get metionned after that.
errand gives you another option while playing happiness
I love how the game has all these small details that can change between plays.
I know how you feel, I could never hurt the boy so i'ma wait till the Derek and Baxter DLC comes out so I have a reason to not shower my love on him.
Makes me feel a bit better about it.
Indeed he does, tho I did agree to get together if I was still single, I feel bad cause I was waiting for Cove to confess.
We'll get him next time.
I might even make my MC taller in Step 2 and not really grow much, so they can be shocked when they see him again. Might get different dialog for it too.
Going off the pictures that I have for science, Derek looks slightly smaller then Cove, I was using Terry as a guide as I don't have a pic of them together, I'm almost in Step 4 so i'll double check.
