Missing step 3 'Fond' achievement

I've played through the whole game 3 times with Cove on Fond in step 3 and can't seem to get the achievement. It's the only one I'm missing and I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.

I've tried different ways to get it; having the comfort and interest the same for both Cove and Baxter, having all three LI on fond, and changing the interest to crush and then scrolling back to put it back on fond.

None seem to get it to pop, so if anyone has some tricks to get it I would love to know, I would love to complete the collection.

If you choose to be "fond" of Cove, it should unlock as soon as you finish customizing everything and the chapter starts, so you definitely should have gotten it.

There's a discussion thread that says if you've played OL1 on itch.io, it can block you from getting an achievement. If you played the required part of the game, Steam thinks you already got the achievement since you played through the flag for it before. The solution for those who encountered this problem was to delete the game's persistent data or to install and play the game on a new device since OL1 doesn't use cloud storage. Unfortunately, you might have to do this even if you didn't play on itch.io since you've chosen to be "fond" of Cove in step 3 without the achievement unlocking before.

Where would i find the persistent data? I was going to try re-installing the game and just skip to step 3 to see if it works, I'm not too bothered if I lose my saves. I love replaying from the start

After making sure all the files were removed before installing again I found it. At least I know where to find it again if I have problems.

you could always use Steam Achievement Manager, that is super helpful for broken achievements, just dont cheat...
