How to dance with Baxter in "Hang"?

I do remember dancing with Baxter on the lawn ,and he mentioned it when chatting with Terri in "Planning" ,but when I played for the second time I could only choose to take his hand and ran through the sprinklers.I have tried many options but failed

Could someone please tell me how to choose or it's just I got it wrong

I believe you have to have a history of dancing with him (from Step 2), then initiate taking his hand in the "Hang" chapter.

OK I have solved it,by going through the plots again from the beginning of the story...though the options I choose have not changed

You need to say you'd be interested in dancing with him when he asks during the first time you meet him. Otherwise, he will assume the MC doesn't want to dance with him and won't ask.

It's not about dancing in Step 2, since that was so long ago. Baxter doesn't use that as a reason think you wanna dance now, as young adults. When you meet Baxter at the start of Step 3 and he brings up dancing, you have to express interest in it.

Thanks for the explanation. Just got it rn - switched dancing answer from "I could show you some moves" to "I'd take you up on that offer" and Baxter's initiative from medium to high, and he suggested dancing. Not sure if only the former was the factor or the latter counted as well.

UPD: retried giving the initial answer and having Baxter have high initiative - no dancing. So you gotta pick "take you up on that offer" to get dancing. Weird that "I could show you some moves" doesn't lead to dancing, it expresses MC's interest in dancing with Baxter as well.
