I'm really sorry, the script is too long for a team of our size to have it translated into other languages. It's not an option we can consider right now.

Players can certainly make a separate fantranslation in their free time if they'd like to. That's not something we'd try to force anyone to stop if it's their hobby. However, we can't try to recruit any fan to do it or put their translation work in the actual game build as a new language option. That'd be taking advantage of fans' free labor for our benefit and it wouldn't be fair.

@GB Patch, you're absolutely right. Me personally, I've been doing a fan translation for another game because I liked it & wanted to get some experience in the process of translation. People have to be fully aware that spending their freetime on content makes the devs and Steam profit.
Some games support Steam Workshop where people can add their fan-translations. That way the fan might get some "fame", new friends, Steam Points for awards and so on but in the end the money goes to Steam. Those are just some thoughts on the topic :)

Edit: by saying "if you let them" in my previous post I meant if you're ok with people having a look into the game files and maybe creating an own translation. Might have sounded a bit harsh. ^^

It's no problem! I know people like to do fantranslation and help out games they like and there's nothing wrong with that. Fan created content can be be great as part of a community experience in a lot of circumstances. It's just that this game is so huge and has a lot of paid parts, I wouldn't feel right if I accepted translation work for free even if they were glad to do it and it gave them experience.

But if people break into the game and check out the files, I don't mind.

@76561199365586712 cause I'm not very good at both english and Chinese I think and it does have too many words. Maybe I would have more free time since May and I could give a try(

Those url are guide in translation-tool which had made by fan and you can use them for free.
DeepL-translation is good for get the picture what sentence means. However, it is not good for grasp the details. So TexTra (it's service made by Japanese-) is good for grasp the details as a substitute for having to correct mistranslation that you feel it sometimes.

And...when you would be using Textra, you can share translation you've done with someone if you add them to your group.
i think it's no problem when you are enjoying with your friends.

If you would translation by yourself, you can more and more understand Cove and them who are living in beautiful story. it's fun. i think. Cove is cute.

theoretically, i am able to translate it into most European languages. however, i still don't know most of Asian languages, so Japanese is still foreign language to me. when i come to Japan, i use English. Japanese computer games cause me lot of difficulties
