[Spoiler] What triggers Baxter to come to the beach at the end of step 3 summer?

So I was playing through step 3 trying and tried to get my baby Cove to express his love, succeeded, but after an unexpected sleepover at his place and come and next morning when we were at the beach Baxter came. This was the first time it ever happened and I have played this game many times, never once happened. So I was wondering, what triggers it?

Did you get his phone number in "Hang"? Since during the end of summer when you go to the beach you have the option to message Baxter to have him join you.

I didnt take his number, but now replaying a few times more for the "bad" anchievments made me realize that it is most likely because I skipped moments. I really dont want to play a game where im indifferent with Cove so I skipped and thats most likely what happened. Second time skipping, second time it happened

That's ok. When I was getting the indifferent achievements I skipped too because I hated being indifferent with Cove.

Yeah, it just crushes my heart seeing Cove trying to make friends and the MC just being so far away and not wanting anything to do with him.

Baxter will show at the beach on his own if you don't call him but you don't actively dislike him either. He'll accept an invite if called and he'll keep his distance so you'll only see him later at night if you don't reach out and don't like him. So there are three different ways it can go based on your closeness with him!

if you skip the moments you miss a LOT of good content of this game you only play half of it maby even less without the moments.

This is not my first time playing, not second nor third. I have already played it many of times. I was just hunting for achievements and had to complete the game with the indifference interest, which was too hard for me, so I decided to skip. I wanted to finish the game as quickly as I could
