Sunset Bird in 2020

I just thought about this the other day. Hopefully someone has some insight. We know Step 4 is supposed to take place in 2021. Does COVID-19 exist in this version of Earth and will it have an impact on the story? If so, will there be an option to not have the pandemic as part of MC and Cove's story? Would other players want that included?

The devs said on Tumblr that they are not going to be added covid stuff into the game since the game was already in production before all this was a thing. we'll just have to think of Sunset Bird as even more of a dream location were Covid doesn't exist.

Yeah, that's right. We started idea forming for this project way back in 2016. By the time Covid happened it was too late to change the timeline, but we have no intention of making Step 4 in OL as scary as the real world became in that time.
