Kid option

So in my playthrough when talking to Cove about his and MC's life together, the option to have pets and/or kids came up. I picked pets automatically but only just now thought about what happens if you pick the kid option. Does Cove and the MC actually end up having kids?

I can only assume we don't see said kids if so since the MC's appearance can be customized. Unless the kids are adopted, then sprites could be made for that.

With two runs I've not seen any mention of children. Mind elaborating ? Did you choose to be married alreayd, maybe ?

It was during Step 3 and I believe around the point of confessing love for him while already dating. A conversation starts up when expressing interest to have a life together and you get an option to pick having either pets or kids or both.

I chose multiple kids and one pet iirc, and there was no mention of MC and Cove having children in Step 4. That said, I chose that we were not married yet(but were living together), which could have something to do with it. There was no mention of kids, only pets(fish). Cove was only worried about the pets, which makes me assume you don't have kids, unless MAYBE if you chose already married and that you wanted kids.

Nope even when you already married it just the same mention, only about pets. I think dev already said that they won't mention anything about kid in this game but maybe i'm wrong.

the devs have stated that Cove is not comfortable with the idea of being a young parent due to his childhood. He may want to be a parent one day, but not this young. give the guy time to grow up some more.

Interesting to know.
Kinda wish there was, i dunno, like a little bit of conversation about it with Cove or something. It would have been a really beautiful touch to have the opportunity to tell Cove you wanted to adopt and make a poor kid happy, since your MC themselves were in that situation.

picking having kids during that moment enables a little bit extra when Cliff finds Cove and you in bed during the epilogue of Step 3. Cliff will say something along the lines of this was the age Kyra and he found out she was pregnant and Cove will give a response that can only be triggered by picking kids

I mean, it would make sense if it's something that would come up during the Wedding DLC perhaps if you chose it prior in Step 3 or something.
