Demo and Game should be identical, as the Demo is literally the first Sector of the Game.
Unless another Mac-User had similiar Problems and could solve them, i think you will have to wait until the Dev can respond to you - which will be most likely on Monday :/
Its strange that you could play the Demo, but cant even launch the game itself.
Are there any additional Hints you can provide? Error codes, messages in a seperate pop up window,... anything?
If you have an Antivirus Program installed, could you tell us which one? "Cheaper" ones like Avast tend to dislike the Game for some Reason xD
For now, until you get a more helpful answer, i would say you play the Demo and check if there are any additional issues. Or you play something else to distract yourself :)
Steam policy states that we can get a refund for any Game that is played for less than 2h and purchased less than 2 weeks ago. You cant play the Game because of technical difficulties, so in very worst Case, if even the Devs cant help you next week, there should be no issue with requesting a Refund.
Sorry for this very unhelpful Answer, i hope your issue can be resolved :)
Also I didnt get the game today, it was a few days ago i think (I will see if i can check the exact time), usually i test game as soon as i buy to prevent it not working and unable to refund but as demo was working i thought it was going to work, so i may have less time for the refund to be effective, I will cjheck and see, also yes, hopefully on Monday the developing team can tell me something about this, but yes I know the demo and game should be same and really demo was smooth for me, so i dont know, well demo was not downloaded recently i think i got it like a month ago, but anyway yes i assume it should work
EDIT I got it on monday, so I have only one more week to ask for a refund, but yes i know they will solve this in a matter of 2 days
When i had massive issues with WatchDogs 2 (bug in very, very early game that caused repeated Crashes), despite "playing" it for more than 2h in order to fix it, i still got the Refund :)
(still frustrated about that,..... really wanted to play it)
There wasnt any updates/changes in the last Month to my Knowledge, so Demo and Game should be on the same Level.
If your System has any kind of Error-Log/Documentation that you can look into, im sure the Devs would appreciate it. IF there is something, you can post it here or look for the Support-Mailadress of Rockfish and send the Error-Log to them (together with a link to this Thread).
Im looking forward to next week, hoping that the Devs can help you :)
Hmmm.... i found this guide from Apple support, that could maybe help
https://support.apple.com/en-ie/guide/console/cnsl1012/mac
There's not much we can offer in terms of support as an M1 Mac is below minimum specification to run the game and we suspect you will run into further issues the more progress you make it the game. (Our game/game engine can be quite demanding on Apple silicon)
Apart from suggesting a File Verification check and then full uninstall/reinstall of the game, there's not much further we can help you with.
Thanks a lot for your help and support, I tried what you suggested and it didnt work, I was hoping that since the demo was working the game should work as well, yes its true, I would need to lower detail here and there but I was hoping this could be the case, maybe it was after the upgrade in engine that it became more demmanding for the architecture Im running I guess, right? I mean the demo was working fully for me but the complete game is not going beyond this error message so I assume its this.
I hope to play your game in my next machine, its really cool game.
