There are limitations by playing ES2 on Apple Machines, the Devs told us that in the past (im sure you can find the old Comments if you use the searchbar). As far as i know, it was possible in the past (althought with problems) to play, but.... that was before the Game Engine was upgraded, so im guessing this could be a Case of insufficient Hardware?

Demo and Game should be identical, as the Demo is literally the first Sector of the Game.
Unless another Mac-User had similiar Problems and could solve them, i think you will have to wait until the Dev can respond to you - which will be most likely on Monday :/
Its strange that you could play the Demo, but cant even launch the game itself.
Are there any additional Hints you can provide? Error codes, messages in a seperate pop up window,... anything?
If you have an Antivirus Program installed, could you tell us which one? "Cheaper" ones like Avast tend to dislike the Game for some Reason xD

For now, until you get a more helpful answer, i would say you play the Demo and check if there are any additional issues. Or you play something else to distract yourself :)
Steam policy states that we can get a refund for any Game that is played for less than 2h and purchased less than 2 weeks ago. You cant play the Game because of technical difficulties, so in very worst Case, if even the Devs cant help you next week, there should be no issue with requesting a Refund.

Sorry for this very unhelpful Answer, i hope your issue can be resolved :)

Hi, thanks a lot for the heads up, you are helping me, dont worry, I have no antivirus installed in this mac machine and the error code is not shown, the pop up window only said ES2 couldnt be launched due to unknown error.

Also I didnt get the game today, it was a few days ago i think (I will see if i can check the exact time), usually i test game as soon as i buy to prevent it not working and unable to refund but as demo was working i thought it was going to work, so i may have less time for the refund to be effective, I will cjheck and see, also yes, hopefully on Monday the developing team can tell me something about this, but yes I know the demo and game should be same and really demo was smooth for me, so i dont know, well demo was not downloaded recently i think i got it like a month ago, but anyway yes i assume it should work

EDIT I got it on monday, so I have only one more week to ask for a refund, but yes i know they will solve this in a matter of 2 days

The time limit is not as harsh as you may think. In general, if you cant play a Game at all, like in this Case because of a suspected technical issue/Bug, Steam should refund you even if it takes longer than 2 weeks. This is an assumption on my Side, but Steam is an User-oriented Company.
When i had massive issues with WatchDogs 2 (bug in very, very early game that caused repeated Crashes), despite "playing" it for more than 2h in order to fix it, i still got the Refund :)
(still frustrated about that,..... really wanted to play it)

There wasnt any updates/changes in the last Month to my Knowledge, so Demo and Game should be on the same Level.

If your System has any kind of Error-Log/Documentation that you can look into, im sure the Devs would appreciate it. IF there is something, you can post it here or look for the Support-Mailadress of Rockfish and send the Error-Log to them (together with a link to this Thread).
Im looking forward to next week, hoping that the Devs can help you :)

Thanks a lot for the information and help, Im sorry you couldnt play WatchDogs2, maybe they fixed it and you can play these days. Well I dont know if there is log here from this error, as said the window that i get is not very informative and only says its an unknown error and couldnt launch ES2, but if you think i can extract the error code from somewhere please tell me.

Thanks a lot for the link, I checked this, I See no entry from ES2 being launched wrongly, but im not familiar with the console so it may be there, I think if they tell me what to look for there i will see that for sure, but right now i cant locate exact error triggered in same time i opened ES2 with this unknown error

Hi there.
There's not much we can offer in terms of support as an M1 Mac is below minimum specification to run the game and we suspect you will run into further issues the more progress you make it the game. (Our game/game engine can be quite demanding on Apple silicon)

Apart from suggesting a File Verification check and then full uninstall/reinstall of the game, there's not much further we can help you with.

Hi there GeekByte,
Thanks a lot for your help and support, I tried what you suggested and it didnt work, I was hoping that since the demo was working the game should work as well, yes its true, I would need to lower detail here and there but I was hoping this could be the case, maybe it was after the upgrade in engine that it became more demmanding for the architecture Im running I guess, right? I mean the demo was working fully for me but the complete game is not going beyond this error message so I assume its this.

I hope to play your game in my next machine, its really cool game.

A little update, well i dont know if this helps or not, I tried the demo installing it again and now produces the same error i notice with the complete game, I wonder, is there any way that I get access to the `previous build of the game? I never saw this option in steam but well the game was working in demo version before, maybe before the upgrade to new engine, so it would be cool to have access to it even if its not as perfected as the current version, is it possible?
