Mainframe expansion carry over from ship to ship?
Do mainframe expansion carry over from ship to ship? E.g. should i store them for now or can i spend them on the starter ship and then they'll carry over when i change ship?

I realize this is an old thread, but I had the same question and thought that I might suggest to any developers here that this is something that should be better reflected in the game. At the moment, it 100% looks like "mainframe expansions" are an upgrade for your personal ship rather than something that will affect all your ships.

Yeah I just got to the station where there are new ships for sale right after I got my 3rd piece for an expansion. So I was wondering if I should buy a new ship first or use the expansion. Very unclear in menu
