I'm just making this discussion for people who mod there games. as we don't know what the steam version of cube world will give us. will the old model mods still work?
this discussion is covering

❓tools to use?

💝Help setting up mods?
Hopefully this will help mod lovers

I link the old mod website too
https://www.cwmods.com/mods.php
ALL THE CHEATENGINE, INV EDITERS, SHADERS TOOLS
BUT ALL THE CUSTOM 3D MODELS AND MODEL EDITORS WORK JUST FINE!

💝Working Tools💝

Voxel Editers - for editing .cub files

💝Voxel Model Maker. Model Editor
💝CWME - Cube World Model Editor

I doubt old mods will work. Is normal for changes to break them or make them more unstable.

Im a modder my self and i try to mod every game i get my hands on (games that allow mods i do not promote cheating) and i can't wait to see the new cube world will we be able to add script mods or new buildings to the random world generation you can make a game but adding mod support takes it to the next level of allowing the fans to shear there love of your game 😄

Still if old mods brake it might allow us to do a fresh new start on mod support i see many people have ideas for mods but where not able to do action since the game was unobtainable

Well if you're a modder, you should know that they already said they will not be adding support for mods. So you're going to have to do it without an API as before.

I didn't know about the game comming to steam intill yesterday i played it back 2013 then well it went down i was like i come back one day i just wait intill i hear news about its re-release even so no API i understand with good reason not to show API for protecting the engine still is a no mod support as for.dll extenders or model changing there are work around with no API to add mods for me its more diving into the models and editing the cubes as i did bavk in 2013 just thinking you can make cube world an elder scrolls theme or starwars or zelda just by editing the models and I'm hoping they using the same model layout as they did in 2013

The older mods will not work as the game was completely rewritten from the ground up, Workshop support will not be implimented now or in the future as stated by Pixxie (see FAQ). I do know that the cuwo community made a dedicated server based on the game, so modding community is not out of the realm of possibility. its not a matter of if, its a matter of when, when speaking of the community.

okay sorry for bringing up a old post but guess what mods work
okay okay only model edited stuff but still
https://www.cwmods.com/mods.php tools still work i tested it and this means we have some mod support okay i know its a .cub file but that means if we can edit it then that is classed as a mod

WEW just like 2013 again
