GENERAL INFOS

Redeem steam key as alpha version player

Please contact the developers via mail ([e-mail]) and add an order confirmation of your alpha. They should send you a key after a while.

EDIT: This used to work, we don't know if they still do it. If you tried it recently, I would appreciate some feedback to update the text above.

Will we get updates in the future?

We don't know if this game will receive updates in the future. The developers announced Cube World Omega[wollay.com] on 25th of May 2023, but we don't know yet if it will be a free update or a new game you'll have to purchase.

Where can I download the alpha again?

The alpha is not downloadable anymore. But you can still play it if you kept the game files on your computer.

Are Steam Workshop or Mods supported?

Steam Workshop isn't officially supported.

However, if you installed community-made mods and want to delete them from your game files, do the following steps:

1. go to you library
   
2. right click on cube world and select properties
   
3. select local files
   
4. verify integrity of game files

INGAME INFOS

[Multiplayer] HOWTO travel to your friend

Go to a village and talk to the flight master. You can fly to your friend for free.

HOWTO get through a locked door or to a floating island

There are a few special items which can help you for achieving different things:

• Divine Harp for locked doors
  
• Spirit Bell for bars
  
• Sky Whistle for floating island

You can find all of them in every region and they will work only there. You can get hints from NPCs where those items can be found.

Differences to the alpha?

Mainly the region lock. It means your gear will lose it's strengths when you cross a border to a new region and you will have to farm new gear for the new region.
However, there are artifacts which will permanently boost stats like climbing speed, swimming speed, diving duration, riding speed, hang gliding speed, sailing speed and lamp radius regardless of your region. Hp, def, atk etc. can only get improved by armor and weapons (which are region locked).
There is gear you can use in multiple regions without losing strengths. It's marked with a "+" in it's name and can also be used in the neighbouring regions.

Could you modify the point "Differences to the alpha"? Specifically the point about the artifacts boosting stats. They boost travel stats but not the main stats like HP, def, atk and so on. Right now it sounds like the artifacts boost all the stats which they don't, so modifying that statement would make it clear ^^

Ich bin nicht der Developer (Wollay), nur ein Mod der ein FAQ erstellt hat damit nicht immer die gleichen Fragen aufkommen. Ich habe auch keinerlei Kontakt zu ihm.

Wir können an der Situation leider nichts ändern. Wollay meldet sich nicht mehr und ist so still wie vor dem Beta Release. Du kannst auch gern versuchen die Mail von dem Account aus zu schicken mit dem du dich damals auf der Webseite angemeldet hast, aber ob es funktioniert weiß ich leider nicht. Die Info basiert auf Erfahrungen von anderen Leuten aus dieser Community und ist unserer Meinung nach die beste Möglichkeit noch an den Key zu kommen seit die picroma.com Seite down ist.

I believe swimming, sailing, diving, and light radius artefacts work as advertised, but the riding, climbing and hang gliding ones do nothing. There are various mods available to counter this, the simplest being https://www.nexusmods.com/cubeworld/mods/13

Came in to see if anything has changed, sad to see it isn't, glad to see that the admins are still active though, and after all this time! Well done for persevering (and holding out hope!) fingers crossed that something actually changes with the game.

LOL if they haven't made the game better by going to it's past reiteration by now, they won't. Too stubborn, and they ruined their own product. Did anyone go to school for business here or just programming?
