Give Us Alpha AND Beta
If this is the final design of the game and it can’t be changed before release that’s fine I understand. But could you also give us the alpha version tied to our steam accounts so people buying new can play both?

But yes, I definitely support, I'd love to have Alpha and the official release to play on Steam!

I was fortunate enough to download the alpha before the beta was released. Y'know something I should be ashamed of? I actually played a few hours of the alpha and was enjoying it a lot... I miiight be enjoying it more than the beta......

? Just log in to picroma's website and download the alpha. I don't what you're asking about?

Not everybody was lucky enough to find out about cube world when it was available for purchase 6 years ago, some of us wanted to buy it 5 years ago, but have had to wait until now. Unless buying the current steam version allows you to link it to your picroma and download the alpha.

I think what might be cool is to have the Alpha as a branch within the properties tab of the game, ironically called the "betas" branch. Then it would allow people to opt into playing the alpha without filling more than one space in your games library.

It would satisfy both old and new players and would allow Wollay to continue developing the newest version.

If he has the beta, he has access to the alpha. Just double checked and I see you can still download the alpha on the website.

I want the alpha that was in development for years.
The one that was teased and strung us along this whole time.

Bump if you agree.

I have the alpha 2013 client but you have to login to the launcher to even use it so it won't work for most people.

The problem isn’t that I can’t play it. The problem is that I have had friends who have waited years to play the version I played 6 years ago. The ONLY way they can play that version is to pirate a cracked version of the alpha. Buying it on steam will not give you access to the version from 6 years ago.

On top of that it would be really nice to know that if wollay ever stopped supporting the authentication/update servers for the alpha in the future that we would still be able to access and play the alpha version without getting it from some sketchy website.

I agree i general. But here is a bit of a thing:

If you own games on services like Steam or Origin, games you really care about then i can only recommend puling versions of the net that can't be made unusable by companies like Valve or EA.

Gabe Newell isn't going to be there forever and i can nearly GUARANTEE that as soon as Valve changes owners you will see Steam ask for badly justified fees from whoever owns it next while holding your games for ransom.
