Grid Mode Always On Option

Please give us a toggle grid lines always on and off.

It's so frustrating having to always hold the mouse buttons down.

Sometimes I have it pressed down and then a weekly choice comes on and I accidentally click on a choice because I've had my mouse pressed down already.

With Grid Lines, you can also add in location coordinates. This will makes commentary on replays streams easier to discuss. And for live streams easier to coordinate and identify what chatters are talking about.

Not having to hold a mouse button down while I try to calculate distances comes to mind. It would come in handy for figuring out which houses are going to send cars, instead of just hoping the houses I just connected are closer then previous houses.

I'm a streamer and I interact with Chat. My chat likes to see the grid on so they can coordinate with placements.

Also- the game should show the name of the map at the top corner for streaming purpose. Others watching can figure out which map you are playing.

I'm constantly holding the mouse down (left or the right) for them to see. And when the weekly choices pop up I sometime accidentally click on the wrong choice depending on where my mouse is. The game has bugged out a few times crashing

While 'always-on' grid lines might be distracting from the nice clean graphical aesthetic of the game, I certainly agree that the current mechanism for showing the grid is annoying. At the moment I have to either mouse click on an existing road/building, or right click off the play area, to make a grid show up.

Since I use the 1, 2 & 3 number keys as shortcuts to control the game speed, is there a keyboard shortcut to show the grid? Something like '4' to show the grid while held would be fantastic.

My wife has poor eyesight and she often has great trouble seeing if houses are connected to roads or not, and uses the right click grid lines view because it shows roads etc in better contrast briefly, so she would use this a lot purely for visual enhancement.

Absolutely, with an option to toggle it on/off so everyone is happy. There already is colour blind mode and night time mode which help visually impaired and the "grid always on" would be a great addition to those.
Also then you would see when the next grid blocks become available and could instantly go continue you road there and not have a random house spawn in the middle of your main road because you were not pushing the mouse button to see the grid at that exact moment it became available.

Need to see the grid at all times to plan roads - what else could someone possibly be doing while waiting for the next week?

Having the grid on always helps us see the growing grid lines (what space shows up as the map expands). This helps us react to blocking certain spawn spaces.

My viewers are constantly asking me to show them the grid as we wait for the map to grow and open up more space.
