Suggestion: One way lane signs

Yeah basically, instead of traffic lights or roundabouts a one way sign. This would force cars to obviously only travel in the direction marked, and an alternate route must be taken if coming the other direction.

It only has to apply between the two nearest crossroads and the user can select the direction of travel (Or give them as a pair)

And what is a point of this change? The ammount of cars that can fit inside shop is limited anyway, even if you force to move in one direction. One way lanes will only benefit if there are 30+ cars overall and so many cars simply can't fit inside shop anyway. Besides, you will have to build double roads, one to move in, one to move out = you won't have enough road tiles and free space for this. Now imagine sime random spawn that forces you to cross both such roads with third one, it will become a mess and you cars gonna slow down 4 times instead of twice.

Not true Lotus. It'd open up heaps of new gameplay styles. Imagine a giant ring road connecting 5 or more shops. It'd allow you divide up roads to reduce congestion where they collide with another road (ie 50% less directional traffic) which would greatly reduce the cross road turns and prevent collisions. Being able to split a shops exit into an inside/outiside road would do wonders to ensure good traffic flow

One way signs are completely useless and would make the game unnecessarily complicated. Keep it simple and its much more fun!

Currently, due to very bad AI pathing, having 1 single road connected to even 3 malls already means you not gonna reach end-game. Your idea is great in vacuum, but in our current game state it is useless.

Alternative idea: median strips on a road. Cars can enter but only in one direction each way, no crossing over
