But yeah, I've no clue what pollution actually *does* and the game ends long before it seems to be an issue.

Though I can see how my Stability is tanking completely because of it.
And yup, just destroyed my Airport and the Stability went from 0% to 100%. It feels completely untested.
Biggest 2 cities plummeted to 0... needs balancing and explanation.
'fixed' it by changing up a lot of districts (plus stability instead of research, food, etc.)
There are a few that lower pollution (Renewable Energy, for example), but they don't seem to affect all sources of pollution.
Harming Food production in the city that is a source of pollution would be easier to balance than Stability (the whole Stability mechanic is way too binary already anyway, either you have ten times as much as you need or you don't have it at all), and it would feel arguably more realistic as well.
Historically, no one ever revolted because of pollution. We may argue whether people should or should not, but at the end of the day - it never happened.
I was really surprised by both events (the stability and game end).
My capitol just sank from stable 100% to 0% real fast. Tried to built a lot of common districs, which because of pollution actually made it worse. I managed to get a lot of the anti-pollution techs down, to lower it back to very low pullution.
Happy I solved that problem, I got a message, world ends in a couple turns because of pollution. Which couldn't be fought ofcourse, cause I apparently made 20k pollution, with 2 cities on low pollution and the rest on very low pollution.
If someone can manage a city with medium, I'd love to see how long the game lasts then.
I like that pollution is a thing, but the effects are not gradual enough and too abrubt.
