Shunting sensor, stabling sensor issues
I am learning to automate the shunting process. I have a simple case of a regional train, between legs, the train goes from one station to a nearby station. I can get this to work manually, at first without actual shunting (the "old" way), and then I added manual shunting (with a queue of shunting commands - it worked great.)

I have tried to automate this process, both with shunting sensor and stabling sensor (trying it both ways), and I get the same result. I can get the train as far as the last signal in the shunting circuit, but then it just sits there an ignores the command to move to the platform.

It is odd, because I am using the same commands I used in the manual shunting command queue.

Has anyone seen this sort of thing?

Edit: In the case of the shunting sensor, I simply placed the sensor four squares in front of the signal. So the train pulls up to the signal just fine. Then I have the commands to reuse (2 minutes) and pull up to platform. But it just sits there.

Edit #2: I finally got it to work, with a shunting sensor. I noticed the sensor was not giving me the option of a "go to signal" command. I added another length of track in front of this one, with an auto signal, and then I could get a "go to signal" command. I will leave the post here in case it helps anyone.

If a train has to travel to another station during its intermission (between legs), I don't use shunting. The train has a destination set for the next legs starting station/platform. I.e. the departure/routing/arrival sensor can guide it based on this.

When it arrives to the next legs starting station, I then often catch it with a stabling sensor on the platform and shunt it there.

Thanks, I'll try this.
