Pertetual platform routing?
Just messing around after a long hiatus, have a system in place with the map entry and intermediate stations being one-way traffic, with the terminus being a switchback.

Unlocked perpetual signals and relays and ran into an issue where I can automate most of the blocks of the network this way, but am unsure if it is possible to do anything with the terminus, as you can't have perpetual signals going in both directions.

I know it sounds like I'd be automating myself out of the job, but is there a way to have it set so the platform pre-signal will always route in when it is clear, and the platform exit signal will always route out down the one-way system?

Yes you can do that. If you build it in a way that no other trains (from other stations/routes) have to use that platform you can make it exactly as you describe and it will run fully automated: one perpetual signal going in and only one way out, also with a perpetual signal. Works perfect and can handle up to 15/20 trains in an hour (using the same type of train and a good timetable).

Sorry, a little confused. So it can only be done on platforms where the train doesn’t have to reverse?

No, no, your train can reverse on that platform. I only suggested to make that platform track the 'end of the line' because it's easier. (You can turn your trains with the simple auto function. If you leave it as a normal platform track you also need a sensor.)
|-------------------B-|>-----<|-A---------------------------------------<|-------< \ \ ---------------C|>---------------|>----->

all autosignals with perpetual funtion

A routes perpetual to the section before B (platform track)
at the platform you can turn your train with the 'auto turn function'
(alternative in case you want to use the platform also to the west: departure sensor on the platform; B can be a normal automatic signal; note that if you use the platform from another direction you'll will have to disable the route from A to B manually (and enable it manually after your 'alternative train' has left the platform))
B routes perpetual to the section before C
