We will need your save and Player.log grabbed in the moment of low FPS to investigate.

Running on my system on a solid 220?

Have ran this game on on old 4th generation Intel CPU and 10-series dGPU with 60+ trains on a map, FPS was still in the 75-100 range, so either on *really* old hardware, maybe using a laptop and integrated GPU (heat throttling?), or would seem to indicate there's something amiss with your local setup.

We need your save & player log to investigate. RR should run on an old office hardware without problems. The only issues related to old hardware was that some onboard / integrated GPUs do not support new API Unity requires to render the game. However, this caused visual artifacts or hard crashes on startup rather than poor performance.

I also got around 70 fps on the Budapest map on an Intel 9600K CPU o/c to 4.9 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GeForce 4070, and the game feels a bit jerky. Given the graphical complexity of the game, fps should be a lot higher.

Hopefully the OP did send in their save/logs to the devs, wyqtor sounds like might be worth doing same, caz this not making much sense. There's not wide-spread reports of "jerky" gameplay in the Discussions, so looking like some common thread that only affects a subset of installations.

i can confirm it runs perfectly fine on an old acer office laptop, with potato specs and integrated graphics. could not be happier.

also: brilliant game. its the part from transport tycoon that i loved most: complex signalling stuff and throughput efficiency. keep up the good work!

Please share your save. We need it to find the root cause of your problem.

An idea - there is a FPS limiter in Options & V-sync also locks the FPS. Do not you have any turned on?
