I'm sorry but I have no issue with others game.

The problem is the game itself, not the setting of windows or graphic driver.

Hello everyone, we'll post something on Steam & Discord that might help you.

If the Youtube trick worked, it means the game's OpenGL doesn't use by default your proper GPU (while Chrome/Youtube does).

This means you have to force Nvidia/AMD to use your GPU and not the Intel Integrated one.

We'll provide some steps in a short while.

doesn't work for FPS issue
I managed to fix it by booting up Overwatch in the background. Now it's running at a silky smooth framerate.
I think I also tried everything in this thread now. No changes, though.

@MotaboY: Sounds like this fix might help you (Overwatch forcing your computer to use the right GPU to play Curse).

Step 1: Check which GPU you’re using
→ Open Task Manager
→ Performance Tab, check that the correct GPU (not Intel HD Graphics) is running the game

Step 2: Force Windows/Nvidia to use the right GPU
→ Open Nvidia Control Panel
→ Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
→ Go the "Global Settings"
→ OpenGL Rendering GPU → Change "Auto-Select" to your best GPU
→ Apply

Has not fixed the issue, still at an unplayable framerate.

EDIT: I tried the youtube fix and... it worked. bizzare.

For those who havent read it: have a youtube video loaded in chrome in the background, video does not need to be playing. Fixes FPS issues via dark magic.

@Xenohenheim I have an AMD GPU and no integrated GPU.
Ok, so this is pretty strange. I also managed to use the workaround of having another game running in the background and it fixed it for the session. Performance Tab in Task Manager tells me my GTX980Ti is running and in Nvidia Control Panel I also changed from Auto Select to my 980Ti but as soon as I restart the game without running something else in the background it's back to unplayable again.
yes i confirm it works with a second game running background
Okay guys, issue came back.
New fix - worked for me:
1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Curse of the Dead Gods\TempleResources
2. Open EngineSettings file
3. Set LowFPS=60
4. save file.

Now game works properly at 120+ fps.
For me, Force the Only one gpu nothink change but open a risk of rain 2 and Curse of the dead gods give me 230 fps on the game :)
Yes, seems like having another game on the background fixes the framerate.

Completely unplayable right now; this needs to be patched asap even if it seems to be a relatively minor bug since it's totally game breaking.

Tried all the fixes documented in this thread and from the responses given by the devs (editing EngineSettings.ini / deleting and recompiling _LocalData / hard forcing Nvidia GPU - but it was already running with it anyway / switching CPU affinity / updating graphics drivers etc.) but absolutely nothing works to stop it running at like 10 FPS on startup....

.....except the weird YouTube fix, which seems to indicate it's an engine problem / OpenGL implementation fault of some sort, for which nothing can be done to fix it conclusively on our end until they patch their game.

EDIT: Nvm, the YouTube fix doesn't work again, totally inconsistent. Not even sure what caused it to work in the first place then, since I replicated the same exact steps and it doesn't take anymore.

EDIT 2: Starting up another game beforehand on the side seems to be a consistent 'fix' for now but that's a pretty bad workaround. :steamfacepalm:
