Broken on steamdeck

Roughly 2 weeks ago the game went from working perfectly to launching into a black screen / hud elements mess. no luck with proton compatibility versions or validating files. Any advice?

Basically I can tell the game is running - I can move around, I collide with obstacles (in the starting at the temple doors), but the entire screen is black. any time a button prompt appears on screen (RB for example) it moves with me until I have a flowing line of RB button prompts - it also appears like all of the HUD elements are on display (Light/Darkness, every other HUD icon, etc).

Developers, any idea here? I've tried forcing proton compatability on every release version available, same issue.

+1. I can get to the title screen and save select but once the game loads, it’s just a black screen with the UI present. None of the proton compatability options work, as noted

Uninstalling and then reinstalling the game on my Deck fixed it. Still have no idea wtf happened

Thanks. I figured this out myself recently, but I appreciate the reply.

On one hand, I feel dumb having not just done this at first, but also justified in there should be no reason this was required. As long as it works, I'm happy.
