This combination wont 100% win you the game but itl make it less dependant on luck and perfect rooms as you can just upgrade your starting weapon till the end if you dont get good drops.
Its good to have a strong blessing on par with Reptilian Hunger and Grace of the Tempest that dont force you to play perfectly.

Heres another starting weapon run, this time on Path to Cruelty. Its consistent enough to not make you worry about finding a good weapon during the run. Even tho the RNG was pretty meh to me this run and I missed all of my parries, I still could win simply because I was able to stack my Tamoks Bones and upgraded my claws.
I used a claw as my main hand so I could combo the claw's charged attack to get in the back of enemies and then the dagger's charged attack to pretty much oneshot everything. Really fun !
Also the super high perception ensures you are always topped off in health&gold and low in corruption, since enemies drop so many items.
