Is it worth to play after the "first" final boss?

Hi everyone,

I just reached the final boss of the game Clovis Pardieux for the first time and beat him too.
With that I have unlocked the pantheon and the information regarding that are hard to get by.

My question: Is the Pantheon worth the struggle?
I mean don't get me wrong, I like the game, but does the Pantheon add anything new besides bumping up the dmg of enemies/traps and less healing rooms?
But all of that just for a slightly different cutscene?

All Hard Expeditions only change numeric values and add penalties against you.
So even though I beat the final dungeon and my fondness towards the game hasn't changed, it is understandable that they feel repetitive and cheap.

If you only want lore, I'd suggest searching threads in the forum for it. Especially if you found the game to be more unforgiving than entertaining.
