True Ending and Lore (Spoilers)

So, I have finally completed the game and figured out the lore for it. Or at least I think I did. Correct me if Im wrong because I dont know what it is based on.

There was once a tribe or civilisation called Chatac who worshipped three major Gods of Wonder: T'amok', Yaatz and Sich'al. The Chatac built a temple where they would trade with them for divine powers. After acquiring such powers they started massacring and sacrificing the nearby tribes.

There were also Gods of Pain with Xbeltz'aloc, The God of Death, being the greatest among them. He saw what the followers of the Gods of Wonder were doing and killed them all, including the champions and avatars, reanimating them and trapping them inside the temple.

I dont know how much time passed since then, but it is implied that many "pretenders" came to the temple in search for divine powers and his goal is to prevent them from achieving this. He claims that he only wants "men to remain human and women remain humane".

The lore is actualy pretty interesting and deeper than I thought. Is there more gods since the three Gods of Wonder are referred to as Major? And who are the other Gods of Pain? If anyone knows what it is based on, feel free to share your knowledge. I absolutely love this stuff.

Ah, so I felt the ending was slightly disappointing, Who knew there would be story like this backing up the game world.

My pleasure. People are claiming this game has 0 story which is kinda unfair, so I want to point out the opposite.
