Scarce amount of healing
I think healing in this game is in a very weird spot. Basically you almost never have any healing, and then there is a floor when you can heal to full and the only drawback is that you gain corruption. These rooms seem too necessary to win, if your path has no Havens you basically have to dodge every attack perfectly or you will be screwed vs boss. I think there should be a middle ground, like healing fountains should be seen more often but you can only heal once in them (recovering 20% hp or 25%), that would be more enjoyable to play.

If you want an example you should see how healing is done in Slay the Spire or Hades.

You can use items that heal on kill, heal on passing doors, heal when lifting curses, heal when X or Y but you have to play a little more to get acces to them or just see them, it's balanced

I have the same feeling and actually prefer the way how it is in Hades, where there is always some heal for free after a boss fight. The second floor is ridiculously hard compared to the first one and I always had only the fountain after the boss.

I don't know if it's balanced but a little more healing would't be too bad imo ^^ when you get 2%heal with envi kill or1% by certains items it's not that much.. And of course it's if you got them.
But I love the game,
already played 5h! Very Nice job to the dev Team :)

I'm with you here! The mechanics are fine, I just think they should adjust it a little bit or change some small things. I mean, they could also do it like dead cells with multiple difficultys where you can heal less and less.

Yeah, I guess but that makes runs very inconsistent. Today I saw a streamer that got a relic that gave him 10% healing when going to the next floor and also had life steal on attacks, and that run was extremely easy for him. His other runs usually ended when he was going into boss while having 200 or 300 hp, and remember that one attack of the boss does 140 damage. So I still think the healing system is very weird at the moment and there should be a rework of that.

Not really, being a roguelike you have to play more to unlock stuff and get better.
For example, this was the 4 or 5th i played the game and reached the second boss(to die in 1 hit).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwqo9SVvMxU
the main thing is to pick the 1000 gold at start, the fury for 50% less damage while attacking and something with heal max 1% and get health buffs + buffs/curses like the auric curse with 25% less damage or the jaguar armor so max damage doesn't exced 10% of your health.
I also had 3 or 4 relics that gave me health in some ways like when passing a door, critical hits etc

You can also spend skulls to reset shrines with items so you can rotate them to get what you want, more or less

The 'heal on x' affects are so valuable compared to everything else due to this.

Honestly I dont want to see healing become TOO common, but at the same time i think a small amount should be consistently available rather than as part of random affects.

I'd happily have the healing affects on items become rarer in exchange for a one-use "heal for corruption" option at doors.

When you're building your kit, it's basically mandatory that one of your weapon slots have healing of some sort. There's also some pretty good relics for healing after bosses, healing when spending gold, and healing when entering new rooms. Every Haven you enter is a waste of a room that could potentially be a room with something more valuable to you. You have to focus on protecting your HP first and foremost. Treat every room as a boss battle.

A few hours in, and I've gotten at least a dozen things that buff healing, but nothing that actually heals me. This ratio feels really bad.

Yeah, the healing situation is junk. Absolutely makes no sense forcing the player into a boss with no health in an action game.

Runs are basically balanced on getting the healing rooms in the correct place or getting lucky with weapons that heal. It's just dumb
