WASD to move or mouse to move (like DIablo)???
I really don't enjoy WASD to move in isometric style games, so I don't want to buy this without knowing.

Hey no worries! We do have options in the game to bind the keys differently if that helps. We also have full controller support. Mouse to move would not work with Curse of the Dead Gods, but we are open to trying other ways regarding accessibility!
I suggest taking a look at games such as Darksburg to get an idea of hwo they're gonna want the game to control with mouse as movement, LMB main wep, RMb maybe dodge, and then everythign else mapped to a keyboard
I hope developers will finally learn. Isometric ARPG games on PC are DOA with WASD movement. Look at Wolcen. Tons of bugs and issues but still have 50k player base for week or more. Sad to see for this and Hades. Console ports are yuck

Can you give some examples of isometric ARPG's which were released with WASD as basic movement input? And please don't name Pagan - in fact it's kust instance dungeon crawler.

Newsflash : This game ain't an ARPG, it is a roguelite. Dunno how many times I have to stress this. The RPG aspects are very lite (there are no skill-trees, no classes, no vendors), and the gameplay loop is your typical roguelike "You died? Try again from the beginning!" gimmick.

Buying Curse of the Dead Gods and expecting Diablo/PoE/Wolcen/Torchlight is a bad investment.

DOA means dead on arrival. i agree with you. WASD movement stinks
Just plug in any usb controller. Steam auto detects and will use it. Although, if you use a ps4 controller, the inputs will still be for xbone

wasd is clearly superior to mouse movement and this is definetly not a game that would work well, controlling it with the mouse.
if you have handy injury you can still use a controller it works well

You definitely missread my post, youthful maximalism is stinks.
I love ARPGs and the way the combat works. Click to move combat feels great in Diablo like games.

In this game though (which is not a diablo-like), I think WASD is the right choice and after about 30 mins it is super fluid and I would not want a click -to-move in it.

As the game progresses you need that split second movement that WASD offers you here and can keep up good momentum to turn the fight in your favour.

I do not get the hate towards a certain control scheme, making it a instant "no buy". But each for their own.
WASD is an absurd!

damn... I was actually hyped for this game, but with wasd to move.... no thx, but wish u luck with ea... looks really good
You guys are crazy. I understand that OP has a real problem with it.

But mouse movement in action packed games that require precision is redundant and should be eradicated at once.

In Diablo - sure, you can take a couple of hits every now and then. It's still sloppy as hell tho. This is in no way diablo, not an arpg. It's a skill-based rogue-lite action game with a couple of small RPG elements in it. Nuff said.

Everyone who thinks WASD is bad for this game probably don't understand what it is supposed to be.

WASD with mouse is what makes the game a twin stick shooter...which is a really common genre separate from click-to-move ARPGs (in which you honestly bind "Force Move" to a different key and use instead of the mouse anyway). Tough for the OP with a disability, but I don't understand the confusion otherwise. Like I said it's standard practice for the entire twin stick shooter genre.

twin stick shooter, yes it is/
you use ranged weps from time to time, and you aim with twin sticks, my dude.
that makes it, get ready for this : A twin Stick :
whether or not youre firing a gun is incidental to the genre name.
you move with L stick, and aim with R stick.
that makes it twin stick.
you guys are bonkers xD
