Nice thread!
Koei Tecmo didn't give some people a chance to give the game a chance.
Technically it is on par with Bandai Namco games, and I'll tell you more, this new Atelier seems even more interesting than Tales of Arise.
The game will be localized faster, doesn't that make it a good thing for having less options?
English dub as paid DLC should be the solution for who can't read subtitles, 6 months after the original release.
Ask Koei Tecmo for this.

Not having English audios also save storage spaces for many people.
The Arland DX pack for the example, it's digital only in the west, and those who bought it on Switch have to deal with storage problem, because it comes with English dubs.
They should at least let people choose which audio they want to download or not.
Tao's voice is the voice of Atelier Sophie's Cornelia.
That person is Atelier Lulua who is also responsible for the voice of Massina of God.
I think it's simply a matter of voice actors' technical capabilities.
