Key won't cool

Title. I ended the game and came back, would never cool. Went back a ways via an auto save and replayed up to that point, still won't cool.

I'll give the game one more chance, I'll start a new game. But, this does make me a little sad.

I've talked to the dev about this and this is a known issue for some people. I think SUZAKU (the dev) may be able to respond better than me; my understanding is you need to stay near the actual object where the timer is, and interact with it a few times. I'll see if I can ask the developer to perhaps replace this puzzle with something else in a patch.

What I did was check the PDA and read some stuff, then I went to check on the key and I was able to take it.

I play on windows 7, so share your PC configuration and such if you want to help a bit.

We are looking into the issue and will hopefully be able to find a fx soon. For everyone, having this issue please do not spam the interact over the stove while waiting for the figure to melt. If we can remove the timer we will in an update soon.

The best option for now is to re-load an earlier save which should reset the flag

So this one is a game breaking bug, it needs to be fixed. Was something like this not found in play testing? I ran into this on my first play through, in the first couple of hours of game play and i can readily reproduce it.

We know, and have been trying to diagnose it but there is no specific cause of the issue, so it's not like we can pinpoint anything to fix. Before the huge influx of people playing the game, the issue was not as common ly brought up.

If you can directly reproduce it can you please let us know how?

I just start a new game, play up until that point and most of the time it just gets stuck there until I reload a save before then. What was different this time around was I collected the three pieces of the picture. The previous play through I didn't and got stuck. I never payed respect to the spirit or anything and if I did, I don't remember doing it. Less rambling, I start a new game and play through up to the point where you pour the metal and then it just gets stuck there. Unless you have a save just before that you can reload. Then it's fine, I can play through that section.

inventory items in possession should have no effect on the puzzle, but im wondering if flags tripped prior to the timer overwhelms it or something.

Perhaps removing the timer might solve that? Really I don't have a problem with items crafted instantly in games like these. But I can only speak for myself.

For my part, I can say when I got to the melting part the first time, I did spam the button. But when I went reloaded a different save, and got back there, I did not do that, and I still got stuck on the key cooling. I thought of grabbing the log report at the time, but I didn't know where to send it so, I didn't.

I can't rmember if I've played since then or not, But, when I do get around to picking it back up, I'll hit you up if it happens again. Assuming you've not fixed it first.

Its not bugged. It's on a timer, you just have to move around the room a little and interact with stuff. Read some notes in the PDA if you want. As long as you stay in that room, the key will cool in like 30 seconds or less. I can't remember but I think it'll tell you if the key has cooled, otherwise do something random in the room or just keep spamming in the room the key will get cooled.

You are fake news. Read the developer's on replies here. It was a known wide spread bug they said they were going to find a fix for "soon" over a year and a half ago.

And I waited several minuets, like 5. All 4 times I've tried to play this game.

There's no need for the IRL wait timer at this part anyways. It's not like you're avoiding anything. They should just have the textbox go "..." a few times to simulate the passing of time before then giving you the key.
