Generally that's a good move, but with another life sim in development I think being too quiet is a mistake as hype will be lost.
Not to PC gamers it doesn't... console ports run poorly and have artificial limitations because it has to run on multiple (and often inferior) hardware.
The upside is simply a larger pool of customers that can often make up for releasing an inferior product.
Tell that to Cities Skylines players.
i'm not sure where you are getting that all the competitors are releasing on 'almost everything' when both Paralives and Life by You have no plans to release for console. If by 'all the competitors' you mean project Rene, yeah, that's the only one. And the fact they're making it compatible with phones means the entire game is going to be throttled by what phones can handle. This is not a good thing. The switch can't even render Pioneers of Olive Town if you have a lot of decorations on your farm, there's no way it could run games like these.
