I'm hopeful if only for it to be reasonably well-polished before early access. I think a lot of devs have become progressively more cautious about starting early access because so many people instantly review bomb a work-in-progress title, so games essentially need to have a well-functioning foundation to build off of. I do think this game was announced too early, though, as 2025 is nearly a full year away, and I doubt this announcement means January 2025 either.

PLANNED released date not set in stone hell seen PLENTY of planned games get pushed back years before.

Hell a recent one that I've been waiting on was stated to come out in the end of January and a week before it came out they pushed it back till some time in Q1 of this year.

I´m surprised the announcement for 2025. Guessed at least 3 years more. Many studios got Investors in their neck, thats why they rush the games. Hope the foundation is stable. Everything else isnt that important and can be fixed.

Honestly surprised and happy about it. I thought it was going to be a few more years, have to remember this game started out with ONE guy. Also they get their funding from Patreon.

I honestly did not expect it to be announced for 2025 at all, I was thinking two more years at least. I'm happy about it though, as long as they feel confident in releasing it. 100% purchasing once it goes up

As long as it is a decent quality, then I will be glad to wait.

Wow I just heard about it yesterday so 2025 seems reasonable to me.

For the ones who are complaining about how long it's taking, If you have some programming experience, then go to where the group that's making Paralives is located and go work for them. Maybe that will help it get out sooner and then maybe you will see how programming isn't instantaneous!

The easiest way to keep that from happening is for steam to remove the option to have reviews during a EA release or reset all reviews once the title is fully released.

I can't get behind the removal of one of the only democratic parts of the industry, warts and all. It's the equivalent of shutting one's eyes and plugging one's ears in the face of criticism.

Nobody is suggesting removing reviews completely, that would be crazy. But it would make sense to suspend reviews for games which are still in development; any game in EA is not yet finished, and reviews will not always take that into account, and may even be out of date and inaccurate by the time some potential players read them.

or have them shown as 2 different things -> showing how well/badly made the game was in EA and how good/bad it is at release
idk EA isnt the main game so the game can change from crap to good at any time depending if the devs listen (not talking about this game)

on a side note hope the game actually gets released and doesnt die early like another game recently...
