PSX Bad Sector issue??

This has happened with a few games, notably with Bloody Bride. I'll be loading it up on Beetle PSX and the BIOS screen works fine, the Atlus screen happens, and then a notification on the bottom left pops up saying there are "Bad Sectors" and counting up in the thousands. Meanwhile, the screen's all black for a few seconds while music plays (I presume it's the main menu music), and then a really bugged image is shown. I think it's the main menu but run through a blender a couple times.

Does anybody know how to fix this? I have all my scph files where they need to be but I'm unaware of any other fixes I'd need to make, and google isn't returning any posts about this topic which is really weird.
