Running slow

i have a 1070 tower and i saw to the lord RetroArch just hates the dam thing. every time i try to emulate on it the thing run what ever rom im playing like 5 frames slow. This causes everything to get all messed up. Strangely enough playing on my steam Deck and Laptop the games run fine. Any clue what might be going on because it really annoyes when i want to show someone a cool retro game on my pc to have the best emulator fall flat on it's face.

maybe its running at lower refresh rate on your pc? sometimes retroarch defaults to 50hz for me. you can change it in settings>output>screen resolution. just pick anything from 59hz and up.

You could delete retroarch.cfg to make RA go back to default and try again from the start. Maybe you messed up with some settings.

Thanks to you i did find the setting i randomely changed the first option to something called Valkin and now it ran correctly. At least this time.

I was trying to show my elderly mother Game and watch Collection 2 for the GBC and it was running beyond slow. Then i switched to a N64 and a Nintendo game. Thanks for the help.
