PCX2 Issue
So i set up everything in retroarch and everything was working just fine including ps2 emulation. I can't figure out what changed as I've been going through every setting to include moving folders in their respective spots, info folder updated/ bios folder updated / and core files in the correct core location. However it seems ps2 has seemed to stop working completely. I boot it up and it opens a new window as normally but the screen just stays white with nothing else happening until it eventually I close it after 5 minutes.
I've tried to reset the associated cores and went in manually to each one and nothing. I did noticed PCX2 was somehow renamed to lrps2 when originally it was named pcx2. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Was able to resolve this issue by manually starting a game and opening up the menu with f1 and doing a override of setting everything to defualt.

Next time you can additionally delete the core into config folder and it should reset too. This is for cases where you can't even open them anymore.

Whenever Retroarch updates it breaks my PCSX2 setup and games don't load anymore.
I used this guide to setup the online updater in the Steam version and now updates don't break my PCSX2.

Hope this helps.

I don't recommend the ps2 core is outdated and has bugs compared to the standalone version of pcxs2

It isn't on here you have to manually install it. There's guides on how to do it.
