And did you try using shaders, core's video options and so on? I personally use specific preconfigured shaders for specific systems that give them a special look.
I'm using a different now but last time I tried them it looked like this.

yours looks good though. gotta dig a bit more in the options since i missed whatever option allows those marquees. ill keep fiddling, thanks for response
Oh the overlays? Just like shaders you can add them too but you need to get them from google or specific sites as I did. This is the one shader (SNES-[ADV]-[Guest]-[Bezel].slangp) and overlay (a dark sfc animated overlay - Also the screen is reflected on the border of the screen like a real tv) I'm using now:

Edit: 2xsai and super eagle are great and are the ones I used at first with emulation but will get make all pixelelated gone.
Edit 2:the "marqueese" are overlays you can access the option via:
ingameºf1 main menuºquick menuºscroll down and: overlays
The ones I use as I've said are downloaded from the internet but RA includes a few ones if you want to try them on the folder path:
