Thumbnails not appearing
Sort of new to this however I'm pretty sure Ive not made any obvious oversights here. My Thumbnails are not appearing for any of the games I have Ive ensured the following Ill take my N64 folder roms as the example

I've ran the download for whatever rom i want the boxart/screenshots for and it says it downloaded successfully
I've gone to the Settings and set the primary and secondary thumbnails to Boxart and Screenshot
I've checked Directory settings and thumbnails is set to the thumbnail folder inside the retroarch folder
N64 folder name is Nintendo - Nintendo 64
I've looked inside the retroarch thumbnail folder and its empty

I'm honestly out of ideas now so any help would be great

that would be a hell of a task for entire libraries surely. Think it would be better to find the actual issue so itll make life easier

n64 is ok, sfc too,
but i don't know chd, with ps1 I use .bin or .cue
maybe something is wrong with the rom name / version and Retroarch does not recognize them, try another rom version without mods and keep the default name without changes.
still Retroarch is a bit limited with metadata, I prefer Playnite

It took me about 3 to 4 days to change the boxarts and screen shots. I changed the box art to 3d boxart where i could and instead of screenshots i replaced it with the games cart/disc. It helped some that the images was already named properly so just a copy and replace. Some i had to manually edit the names.

Here is what it looks like.
