Need help with PSP core!
I was playing Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and noticed the part where you have to input your name is not displaying on my screen. Any ideas or fixes around this?

Text not showing up is probably because you don't have the bios. https://docs.libretro.com/library/ppsspp/#bios follow this guide and you should be fine.

The graphics on PSP are freaking out for me. I have tried a couple of things but not sure what is causing it. Seems to work fine on the non Steam version.

Ah, good shout. Solved most of my issues at least. Goes to show you should always check documentation beforehand :')

I was just googling this problem. Didn't even consider this because both of the PPSSPP setup guide I watch said, "you don't even need a bios"

Switching video driver to D3D11 will fix issues like that too.

Well I tried both and the screen still comes up blank so I am in a stump as to what to do.

Anyone else getting flickering on the D3D11 driver? I'm play Mega Man Powered Up and what looks like encrypted text periodically flashes on the screen every 6 seconds or so

The latest standalone stable build of RetroArch ran it flawlessly under the same conditions. Started with a fresh install of RetroArch and Isolated the cause to running overlays with the PPSSPP core. Still troubleshooting to figure out the source and a possible solution

Figured it out. When you're running the PPSSPP core with an overlay and achievements on with Leaderboards enabled and or Verbose Mode there is some sort of conflict that causes that bug to occur. If you turn off overlays or disable leaderboards and verbose mode the bug will disappear
