Also on main menu go down till you find the icon of your system and see if the games are imported there.
But it was working fine like a week ago, did they reintroduce this or something???
Yup flatpak retroarch does not have this issue, too bad it doesn't have my cloud saves or my settings and I have to set up everything again, this sucks man
Even adding a Symlink to my Roms directory inside Retroarch directory is not working. :(
As commented before, that worked just fine last weeks, but after last update (today) is not working any more.
My System:
Ubuntu 22.04.1
Retroarch 1.10.3

Hope we can get a fix soon.
Edit: for Steam Deck users the work around is here: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/14297
Edit2: For desktop and Steam Deck users do this launch option:
STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media:/media:/mnt:/home:/opt:/srv %command%
Source: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/14266
I didn't try the second updated command you posted, but the first link you posted has a command that seems to have fixed it for me
STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media/mmcblk0p1/ %command%
STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media:/media:/mnt:/home:/opt:/srv %command%
Other than the different folder structure, this command looks very similar to the one I used, is it actually different?
I checked the directory settings and discovered that it was loading from the flatpak version of RA saves directory that I installed while I couldn't get the steam version to look at my ROM folders.
The cloud saves were actually working fine the whole time, it just wasn't looking at them for some reason
