PCSX2 on RetroArch?
So I downloaded the standalone retroarch.

Then I downloaded the core, PCX2.

I took the pcsx2_libretro.dll file from the cores and I copied it the cores folder in RetroArch on Steam.

But PSX2 doesn't show up when I go to Load Core on RetroArch on Steam.

What shows up is the pcsx2_libretro.dll file.

Now every other core in RetroArch on Steam also has a LICENCE.txt file and a SOURCE.txt file with it.

Do I need those as well? And where do I get those?

Dunno how you can get them directly, but what you can do is grab the standalone version, download it through that, and then copy and paste those files over.

that is what I did. Then I took the file and pasted it over.

But all's that is showing up is the pcsx2_libretro.dll file when I press load core in retroarch on steam.

funny thing is, is that I got the right bios, I can start the core by itself by using the pcsx2.libretro.dll and it loads the ps2, but the roms I downloaded, I can't choose the pcsx2 core to load them with. weird

I fixed the issue. Had to copy the file from the info folder as well.

He had to copy a file from "info" folder on standalone version to "info" folder on steam version.

I've followed these instructions but the program closes when I try to run some roms but I have used the pcsx2 standalone app with success

Everything worked fine for me, except for copying a file from standalone info to steam version info. Either he didn't mention it or I just didn't noticed.
You have to have three things:
copy new core to "core" and "info" folders.
install a program pcxs2 in "system" folder of steam version
download and add to retroarch bios.

Oh I had left out that part about copying the app files over, well I tried it out and it works but it seems to make RA act funny, can crash sometimes takes forever to shutdown the program
